We have been using Tandex chemicals to treat our locomotives since 1986.The change to Tandex chemicals was caused by the failure of an alternative boiler treatment company to supply and monitor an effective treatment system. The result was reduced tube life and excessive corrosion pitting of the interior of the boiler drums.
Since changing to Tandex, it has been our experience that they are prepared to work closely with their customers and provide a follow-up service of the highest standard. We have seen an extension to the fire tube life, and the boiler drum corrosion pitting has been arrested. The internal condition of our boilers is excellent and has drawn favourable comments from Boiler Inspectors during boiler examinations regarding the effectiveness of the treatment being used.
Tandex first introduced their chemicals into the feed water of our two Steam Generators in 1983 . Since the introduction of these chemicals, a marked improvement has been noticed in their efficiency, and a definite reduction has occurred in the amount of maintenance required. The condition of the steam generators has been noticeably improved, and all treatments undertaken have produced excellent results.We have found Tandex to be extremely competitive in price, and the after-sales and delivery services have been faultless.
Some 27 to 28 years ago, we were experiencing enormous production and maintenance problems with corrosion and scaling in our Injection Moulding Machines and Dies caused by poor water quality and lack of a water treatment program.We were recommended Tandex as a solution to our water quality problems. Since Tandex has been handling our water treatment, we have had minimal production and maintenance problems associated with corrosion and have also, in some cases, been able to increase our production cycle times. Not only has this been a huge cost saving to our company, but it also helps us to comply with the Government Health Regulations.
